Property sales and purchases can now be completed in just 24 hours according to a new financial services consortium in Norwich.
A team of experts based in Independent House, have become the City’s first ‘One Stop Shop’ providing all the professional services related to property purchase under one roof. The new service is the brainchild of Mortgage Advisor, Ian Goody who purchased Independent House, located next to Norwich Railway Station, in 2002 to accommodate his expanding business.
Goody explained how clients would benefit from this new scheme. “Buying property can be a nightmare at the best of times, and with the problems people are facing with the credit squeeze and uncertain property market, a one-stop-shop means the process will be less traumatic and more efficient.” He commented. “In one day we can provide independent financial advice, search for the right mortgage and instruct the conveyancer to complete the purchase, without the client having to step outside the building. If clients need additional services we also have a letting agency, will writer and an accountant on site.”
Added Goody; “One of the problems with protracted conveyancing processes is that the longer it takes, the greater the possibility of the chain breaking down, or in some cases, clients being victims of gazundering or gazumping. I believe that our service is truly innovative combining professional expertise with personal service. By linking our services we can speed up processes through clearer communication and because all our professionals are in the same building, clients only have to prove their identify once to satisfy money laundering regulations. This again speeds up the process and a 24 hour turnaround from instruction to exchange really is achievable.”
